What is the most durable carpet?  There are four main materials used in carpet.  Two of those are: wool, a higher end material and nylon which has been around for more than 20 years.  When looking for durable carpet, you need to keep in mind the number of times the yarn(material) is wound.  The more a carpet is tightly wound, generally, the more wear you will get. 

Should I buy better quality carpet for the living room and higher traffic areas?  Sometimes this can be a good way to keep your costs down. Carpet color and style can be matched well when using higher grade carpet in high traffic areas and less expensive carpet in lower traffic areas, and this can save some expense for those who may have a limited budget.

Where does the real estate commission go?  Darryl Baskin of the Darryl Baskin Team, McGraw Realtors, located at 308 N. Aspen, says that 50% of the commission will go to the sellers agent and 50% to the buyers agent.  Each agent is responsible for their own taxes, automobile expenses and fuel, health insurance, staff salaries, cell phone, as well as advertising for the property, etc.  Whatever is left after paying all of their expenses is what the real estate agent makes for their time.  Remember that real estate agents spend lots of time marketing a home for sale and searching for the right property for a buyer.

How can I kill mosquitoes and other insects around my home?  Duane Montgomery, Montgomery Exterminating, suggests a "skeeter defeater".  A small machine that sprays at dusk and dawn or whenever you decide to spray, using the remote control.  This will kill mosquitoes as well as other insects.  The larger the insect, the longer it will take to kill.
