What do the Changes mean to the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act? The changes in this act will change many things when it comes to a Good Faith Estimate. It will no longer show you closing costs. It will help you compare different companies when you are shopping for a loan. It will not show you your total payment or closing costs. The form will strictly look at the cost of the loan, within 10% variance. Loan Summary Sheet will tell you closing costs and payment costs.
For more information on Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act contact Karen Heston of BOK Mortgage at 918-230-9432 or visit her website.
When do I cash my insurance check? You insurance settlement check might say on the back that this is final settlement. When you are recieving a check from your insurance company that is a first party claim. A third party claim is when someone else caused damage to you. The third party check will likely say that by cashing the check it is final. Be careful when cashing one of these checks. When it is your insurance company paying on a claim against your policy, you are OK to cash the check because they are under obligation to fulfill the contract they have with you on your policy with them. Usually after a year you will no longer be able to file a claim or add damage to a prior claim.
To find out about cashing your insurance check contact Mike Tedford of Tedford Insurance at 918-299-2345 or www.tedfordinsurance.com.
Critters in the Attic such as brown recluse spiders and silver fish. Sometimes raccoons and squirrels will get in the attic but usually there are not many things that get in there. We can treat the attic with a dust that kills spiders and silverfish. The dust that is put in the attic can last up to a year. A monthly treatment plan works well for most people because we treat the outside and if there is a problem inside we will treat it for free. This keeps you from having to worry about being home to let us in.
To exterminate brown recluse spiders, silverfish or other pests, contact Duane Montgomery of Montgomery Exterminating at 918-438-4885 or www.montgomeryexterminating.com.
