Tulsa CASA Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a program developed in Seattle by a judge plagued with the feeling that he did not have adequate information about the cases he was hearing.Tulsa CASA was organized in 1985, incorporated in 1987 as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 Oklahoma corporation, and admitted as a Tulsa Area United Way (TAUW) member agency in 1989. Tulsa CASA, as authorized by Oklahoma law, is organized to speak for the best interest of abused and neglected children in court.  We promote and support volunteer representation for the children in an effort to provide each child a safe, permanent, nurturing home.

Mickey Thompson, President and CEO of the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce, explained the new economic development plan unveiled by the City recently.  Prepared by Angelou Economics, a nationally known economic development company known for the resurgence of such cities as Austin, Texas, the plan identifies several key areas for improvement for Broken Arrow.  one key improvement was for access to information about the city.  "In order to attract new businesses and workers, we must have information about the quality of life and properous business climate in front of our audience" says Thompson.

Tulsa County Assessor, Ken Yazel explains Homestead Exemptions and other property tax exemptions for Tulsa County home owners.  Homestead must be filed on your property by March 15.  Mr. Yazel strongly suggest you not wait until the last minute.  Other exemptions for Tulsa County property owners include, Double Homestead, Property Valuation Limitation (also known as Senior Freeze), and a Veteran's Property tax exemption.
